No middle, between the lead weight feeling of living arms gone bad and the indescribable ecstacy of a passing glimpse of light when one is truly given up to the loudness of the single and sheer act of living.

But there is a land there, you just cannot stay there. You're only passing through, crashing back and forth, rushing from death to birth, birth to death, over and over, all day, every day, all week, throughout the year, until we roll to a stop at one end or the other like an old, rusty pinball.
